Use Instructions

Use Guide

These car detailing brushes are highly versatile and can be used for a variety of purposes when cleaning and detailing your car. With (2 qty) brushes of each type, you can clean all kinds of surfaces both inside and outside of your vehicle.

The light grey, white-tipped extra-soft brush is extremely soft and are perfect for dusting and cleaning delicate surfaces such as touch screens, vents, and piano black trim.

The next brush is a black nylon brush is a durable brush that can stand up to general cleaning. It works great for cleaning surfaces that require more aggressive scrubbing like floor mats, engine bays, brake parts, and more.

And finally, the natural boar's hair brush offers an mild cleaning, while still being gentle enough so as not to scratch most surfaces. The boar's hair brushes work great for cleaning around emblems, as well as interior dashboards and trim.

When cleaning interiors using a detailing brush and a cleaning chemical such as an interior cleaner, it's best to spray directly into the brush rather than spraying onto the surface. This reduces the chance of leaving overspray marks behind, which if left for a prolonged period of time, can be incredibly difficult to remove later down the line.

There are times when you might need a lot of cleaning solution, in which it may be acceptable to spray directly onto the surface---so as long as you ensure everything gets wiped away completely to prevent overspray marks on your car's interior.

After using the detailing brush to scrub with the cleaning solution, the dirt and other contaminants will be agitated and pulled off of the surface being cleaned. It mixes with the cleaning solution and produces a dirty foamy mixture.

Grab a microfiber towel and wipe away the dirty foam mixture. If the surface is still dirty, perform the cleaning steps again until the foam produced is not dirty anymore.

These steps can essentially be followed for any of the brushes used here on interior surfaces. When using the nylon brushes for more heavy duty use on the exterior such as emblems, brake parts, engine bays, etc., it can be rinsed off with water.

    Care Guide

    Care Guide

Prior to using your new Detail Armory Car Detailing Brushes, we recommend taking each brush and gently pulling any loose bristles from the brush head. It's common to find some loose strands due to the manufacturing process and it is better to get them now rather than dealing with it later. After the initial grooming, you can use them regularly. Because detail brushes are reusable, they should be cleaned, dried, and left to air dry after each use.

    Cleaning & Drying

After using the detail brush, simply clean the brush with water to rinse out any contaminants. If it's very dirty, use interior cleaner or diluted all-purpose cleaner along with water and clean the bristles with your fingers. Rinse it out with water until the water runs clear.

After rinsing, gently squeeze the bristles together to get excess water out.

Then "brush whip" the brush to remove any remaining water in the bristles.

Now, you can leave it out to air dry until the next time you use it again. There are several ways you can leave your brush out to air dry. One way is to place them into a holder to dry upright. This is probably the easiest way, but may take longer to dry.

The second way and probably the most effective at drying the brush is hanging them upside down. Since any residual water will drip off of the bristle tips, rather than stay inside the brush head, this will leave your brushes fully dried and will allow them to last longer. These brushes have a loop at the end, so you can either hang them on a hook or tie a string to allow them to hang off a variety of ways.
